Yeah he is a terrible driver in races, sure he never scores any points he is so slow, bring back Yuji Ide.

No that's not fair. He does *luck* into some occasionally.

Plus other drivers *do* sometimes retire from the race - so anyone behind them (say someone holding up a queue of cars behind them for example) still has a chance of scoring points every now and then.

Yes. Even Trulli.

Hamilton talks of his favourite races of 2009.

Suzuka against Jarno is one of them.

Hamilton: "I raced my heart out at Suzuka, my battle with Jarno in the first stint was seriously hardcore – it was like doing 20 qualifying laps in a row."

L'ewis, you shouldn't be saying things like that. The full question and answer:

Q. Favourite race?

LH: Monza was good fun, but probably either Suzuka or Brazil. I raced my heart out at Suzuka, my battle with Jarno in the first stint was seriously hardcore – it was like doing 20 qualifying laps in a row. But Brazil was even crazier – the car was probably the best it has felt all year and I didn't stop pushing from the first corner until the last corner. That was probably my best drive of the whole year.

and?

Your point is?

So what Hamilton mentions he enjoyed a battle with Trulli. Big effing deal.

Are you implying that Trulli *must* be a great driver as Hamilton said he enjoyed battling with him?

Is that it?

Or is there something I've missed in your post that explains what your point is?

I really can't work out if this is a Road To Damascus post or a rather odd attempt at sarcasm. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol.gif)

I'm going for old school biblical conversion ala "I've seeeeeen the light!!!".

....or Phucaigh now realises that he's the only person in the world that really loves Jarno Trulli that isn't named Jarno Trulli.

Well he left McLaren for NASCAR.......no not Montoya this time...

QUOTE
Steve Hallam, former McLaren head of operations, and current vice-president and director of competition for Michael Waltrip Racing, says that testing drivers from other series is part of the team's strategic planning for the future.

Although he believes Trulli still has options to remain in Formula 1, he leaves the door open for him or Salo maybe following into Juan Pablo Montoya's footsteps, if the right opportunity comes along.

So,

"McLaren man wants Trulli"

is really

"NASCAR man might give Trulli or Sato a shot if the right opportunity comes along"

He was McLaren's head of operations before he left for NASCAR.....

..and it is Salo the Finn, not Sato the Japanese guy.
